Summary:
This film in three parts explores traditions in rural Albania and the role of women in society.
The project begins with the filmmaker’s relationship to the country, and moves into a poetic portrayal of village life and ends with a video piece, revealing villagers active participation in their own depiction.

Director’s Biography:
Naomi uman, a New York native residing in Mexico City, creates intimate films exploring women’s roles and crafts using 16mm film.
With 20 showcased films globally and grants from institutions like Guggenheim, Fulbright, and Rockefeller, she adds a personal touch, revealing biases and active engagement.
Her latest work, “Three Sparks” (2023), receives financial support from the Mexican Ministry of Culture.
