Summary:
Algiers, 2019. As the protest movement gains momentum and there’s hope for profound political change in Algeria, Marwan, the former corrupt minister, and his vibrant wife Khadija have only one idea in mind: to sell off their illicit properties and leave the country with their daughter Sarah before justice catches up with them.

Director’s Biography:
Born in 1944 in Algeria, he studied cinema in Paris and has directed numerous films.
His film “Bab El Oued City” was submitted for the 69th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
He has also won several awards at international festivals, including the Silver Prize for his film “Omar Gatlato” at the Moscow International Film Festival (1976) and the Best Film Award at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival for “Normal” (2011).
